Turbo Ridgeline

Turbo Ridgeline is a pick-up-and-go racer, but underneath the arcade feel there's a surprising amount of setup to tweak. You race down winding mountain roads, drifting around hairpins with a tap-to-brake system that clicks once it clicks.

You can steer by tilting the phone or using on-screen controls — I preferred tilt for the long sweeping corners and virtual buttons for the tight stuff. The game lets you switch freely, which I appreciated.

It's not a sim, and it doesn't pretend to be. But the tracks are well designed and the time trials got their hooks in me. Great for short bursts, dangerous for your evening.
